Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. In her career she has been awarded 12 WTA singles titles including a Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. She is also an excellent doubles player. She's won two Majors to her name in this category, the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both by Elise Mertens. Also, she achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Just four pairs of women's tennis had achieved this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third place in the world singles rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was again achieved in the month of January in 2023. She climbed into the top spot of the doubles ranking the following year, after winning the doubles title in Melbourne. It made her the second Belarusian tennis player be successful in tennis. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) played her as a coach for the duration of the season in 2019 as well as from the year 2018 until close of the season. Dieter Kindlmann was her trainer from August through September 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are among her greatest idols.
